The EU AI Act is the world's first comprehensive regulation of artificial intelligence. At Insightum.ai, we welcome this regulation and have proactively aligned our AI systems with its requirements. We believe AI in research must be transparent, fair, and subject to human oversight.
Risk Classification
Our AI systems — which conduct voice interviews and generate research analysis — are classified as limited-risk under the EU AI Act. While not in the high-risk category, we voluntarily apply many high-risk requirements because we believe research involving real people deserves the highest standards of transparency and accountability.
Transparency
Respondents are always clearly informed that they are speaking with an AI moderator, not a human. All AI-generated content — including research reports, sentiment analysis, and thematic summaries — is clearly identified as AI-generated. Researchers can inspect the full discussion guide, review complete transcripts, and trace exactly how each insight was derived from the raw data.
Human Oversight
Human oversight is built into every stage of our process. Researchers design and approve discussion guides before any interviews begin. All AI-generated reports and analysis are presented for human review — they are tools for researchers, not replacements. Researchers can ask follow-up questions, challenge findings, and request deeper analysis at any time.
Data Governance
We do not use respondent interview data to train general-purpose AI models. Research data is processed solely for the purpose of the specific study it was collected for. Our AI models undergo regular quality and fairness assessments to ensure they do not introduce systematic bias into research findings.
Documentation and Accountability
We maintain comprehensive documentation of our AI systems, including their purpose, capabilities, limitations, and the safeguards we apply. We conduct regular assessments of AI performance, accuracy, and fairness. Our team stays current with evolving EU AI Act guidance and updates our practices accordingly.
